Click!…..internet downloading

I need to include my 2 cents into this equation….actually, make that 5 cents since a 2 cent coin no longer exists…

I don’t understand how far behind the media falls. Suddenly, tv show downloads are the biggest thing to hit the internet. I’m sorry to disappoint you all, but tv show downloading has been popular for the past 4 years. It’s not new, nor is it suddenly popular, it’s just net geeks tend to remain about 4 years ahead of the media.

Secondly..how dare governments prosecute people for downloading and keeping tv episodes? Firstly, go and prosecute anyone who has ever recorded an episode onto a VCR…then come after downloaders. It’s not fair to say one is legal and the other isn’t, when they’re exactly the same thing. Maybe if networks didn’t fuck around with viewers, viewers who have access to information, then people wouldn’t do it. Why should we wait 6 months for episodes? What can we do when networks change air times without warning, run programs half an hour overtime, pretend shows have finished and play episodes out of order?

Viewers are taking action, gaining control. If networks treated people with a little respect, maybe people wouldn’t download. A little something for networks to think about.
