I seem to have lost my shine for this show a little. Maybe it’s getting a bit long in the tooth? I don’t know, but after 3 seasons I find it hard to find these little gems charming. I guess the new flashy and dazzling shows have dragged me away from the old-school cheesy copper shows.
Anyway, this was a fairly disgusting episode considering it contained an enormous amount of faeces. For some reason, it also involved a vast amount of discussion regarding morality, as Bones is dating 2 guys, one for conversation and one for sex. Something which Booth obviously doesn’t agree with. And which I can’t seem to find any amount of enthusiasm to get involved over.
I don’t know, the cute dialogue and the slightly cheesy interchanges used to make me smile, but nowadays I’m all meh. I think I’m still bitter over the extremely harsh and nasty treatment of Zach, who I really loved. At least they’re not going the House route and having a survivor-esque hunt for new assistants – they’re simply going to be bringing in new ones until they decide on who will take his place. The girl who was sticking around for this one? Annoyed the hell out of me.
And there was absolutely no follow-up with the Angela-Hodges break-up – what the hell is going on there? Why do they have them go through all that crap tog et married then suddenly break up?
This show makes no sense.
But I’ll keep watching.
